Dr. Laurie Baynard has been practicing prenatal and pediatric chiropractic in Lake Charles since 2012. She graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in December of 2011 with her Doctorate of Chiropractic and Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. Prior to chiropractic school, she went to McNeese State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance and a minor in Chemistry.
Since starting her practice in 2012, Dr. Laurie has completed over 200 hours of pediatric and prenatal chiropractic coursework to provide the best care to our moms and babies in SWLA! Her ultimate goal with her pregnant patients is easy pregnancies, quick births and recoveries! She is passionate about health, wellness, and living your best life. In her spare time, you can find her at her other business next door to the clinic—L Bridal Couture or traveling with her husband.
Fun fact: Dr. Laurie thought she wanted to do sports chiropractic. She did an additional year of sports medicine training and about halfway through fell in love with prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care. She’s not a quitter so she still finished the series, took and passed the board exam, and then decided to focus primarily on pediatrics and pregnancy.
A Southwest Louisiana native, Dr. Carleigh Chaumont grew up in Moss Bluff Louisiana. She attended college on athletic and academic scholarships at both Western Kentucky University and McNeese State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health & Human Performance with a concentration in Sports Medicine. During her college tenure she was a member of three conference championship softball teams, received All-Conference and All-Tournament honors in both Conference USA and Southland, and recognized on the All-Louisiana team.
Receiving the Presidential Scholarship, Dr. Carleigh received her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas, Texas. She holds certifications in the Webster technique, as well as Dry Needling, and is a member of International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana. She loves her athletes but adores working with kids and has a passion for holistic health and natural living. She has been practicing in the Lake Charles area and working with the McNeese State University softball team since 2022. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys sports and the outdoors, coaching, spending time with friends and family, and traveling to new places.
